The underlying question is always the same: who pays, who learns that you got there, and who gave permission. Here is the answer for each case.
Familia: your rides, her card
One plan owner invites up to four people. Each receives the invitation and decides: if she accepts, a payment method pointing at the owner's card appears in her list, and her rides are billed there.
Nobody joins a plan without accepting it. It used to be enough to have anyone's phone number, and the only real consequence of adding someone was learning when she got home without her knowing.
You can leave the plan at any time, from the same screen, without telling anyone.
The plan owner learns you arrived
When someone on her plan finishes a ride, the owner gets the arrival notice. It's the part of the product that existed from the start, and the reason the invitation had to be consented to.
She doesn't see where you went, with whom, or what each trip cost: she sees that you arrived.
Teen: an account with signed permission
A teenager cannot accept terms on her own, so her account is created by her guardian, who signs a permission that records the exact text accepted and the date. Without that permission in force, the account cannot confirm a ride.
That's why a Teen account joins the plan without an invitation: the consent that replaces that acceptance is already signed, by someone who can give it, before it gets there.
What her guardian sees, and what they don't
While the teenager is riding, her guardian sees the ride in progress and receives the arrival notice. It's trip tracking, not surveillance: there is no location history outside rides.
Permission can be revoked at any time. Once revoked, the account can no longer request rides.
