In case of any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
At Berlina we process your personal data for one purpose only: running a safe ride service for women. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and what rights you have over it.
Data controller
Berlina is the controller of the personal data collected through the mobile app and this website. For any privacy matter you can write to us at soporte@berlina.app.
Data we collect
- Account data: name, email and phone number.
- Verification data: for drivers, identity documents and facial verification used to confirm that the person driving is the account holder.
- Location: while you request a ride and during the ride, to assign drivers, plot routes and activate the safety tools.
- Payment data: processed by our payment provider; Berlina does not store full card numbers.
- Ride messages: the chat between passenger and driver is kept together with the ride for safety and support.
What we use your data for
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
- Running rides: request, assignment, route and payment.
- Safety: identity verification, trusted contacts, ride sharing, emergency button and content moderation.
- Support: handling reports, claims and requests.
- Meeting legal and tax obligations.
Who we share data with
Only with the providers needed to run the service (payment processing, cloud infrastructure, maps and notifications) and with authorities when the law requires it. The other party of your ride only sees your name, your photo and your rating; your personal phone number stays hidden.
Cookies and measurement
On this website we use measurement cookies: Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel. They tell us how many people visit the site and which pages they see; they are only activated if you accept the cookie notice, and you can decline them without losing any feature. The app does not use these cookies.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account we erase or anonymise your personal data, except the data we must keep by law (for example, tax records) for the periods the law requires.
Your rights
You can access, correct and delete your data, and object to certain processing. From the app: Profile → Delete my account. You can also start the request from the account deletion page or write to us at soporte@berlina.app.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes substantially we will let you know in the app before the change takes effect.
