Where the name comes from
A berlina was a closed four-wheeled carriage, born in Berlin in the seventeenth century and designed for travelling in comfort and protection. We liked the idea so much that we kept the name.
Why we exist
We created this project to look after women. We want you to move around your city without fear, without scares and without having to think about anything other than getting there.

We started with drivers from our own city and a team that answers. And we are going to keep growing, together.
Our story
Berlina began with a question many of us have asked when requesting a car: what if I could know who is going to drive me before I get in? We wanted to move around without fear, without staring anxiously at the phone and without texting “I made it” with a shaky voice. From that question came a simple idea: a ride-hailing app built by and for women, with women drivers.
We took the name from the berlina, that closed carriage invented for travelling in comfort and protection. It felt like the exact picture of what we wanted to build: a space that looks after you while it takes you there. That is why every feature of the app, from the confirmation code to the notice that you got home safe, comes from the same intention: the ride is yours, and you never ride alone.
We are accessible, modern, practical and elegant, and that is how we want every trip to feel. We believe in a community where passengers choose and drivers grow: they decide when to drive, they learn at Berlina Academy and they have a team that answers behind them. We ride together and we ride safe, and we will keep growing with every woman who joins.
